About Tenby North Beach

A superb, sheltered, sandy beach with the pinnacle of Goskar rock sticking out of the sand in the middle.

This is one of the most photographed views in Wales with the harbour at the western end. An enclosed, east facing beach, it's a real sun trap even on windy days.

Dog restrictions apply to the whole beach from 1st May to 30th September. Check out a map of the beach to help with which section of the beach it applies to.

If you’re planning to visit, check out the tide times to make sure you’ve plenty of beach to play on and that you don’t get cut off by the incoming tide!

Parking

North Beach car park is the closest but fills up quickly in summer. If you arrive after 10am during the school summer holidays, head straight for the park and ride and use the free shuttle bus.

Facilities

Slipway. Boat hire. Deck chairs. Lifeguards from the end of June to the end of September.

Onshore facilities

Toilets and cafe above the beach. Tenby has museums & galleries as well as numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants. Many interesting shops and a good choice of hotels, caravan parks, B&Bs and self catering.
