Where history meets harbourside charm

Updated

17 April 2025

Perched on one of the deepest natural harbours in the world, Milford Haven blends rich maritime heritage with a vibrant, contemporary waterfront scene. Once a strategic Royal Naval Dockyard and a landing point for Henry Tudor, today Milford is a lively destination with a warm Pembrokeshire welcome – ideal for foodies, culture lovers, and anyone craving a laid-back coastal escape.

Milford Waterfront has blossomed into a thriving hub of independent businesses, enticing places to eat and drink, and spots to soak up the views or pick up the perfect gift. Whether you’re visiting for a day trip, weekend away, or longer holiday, this coastal town offers more than you might expect.

Milford is blessed with an ever-growing collection of places to eat, drink and unwind – whether you're after a relaxed pub meal, modern dining, or a flavourful international bite.

The Lord Nelson Hotel & Pub – A historic favourite in town, this welcoming spot offers classic pub fare and a cosy atmosphere with a nod to Milford’s maritime past.

Tŷ Milford Waterfront – Modern, stylish and perfectly positioned overlooking the marina, the Tŷ Hotel is home to Dulse, a waterfront restaurant celebrating fresh, local produce with a contemporary twist. There’s also outside dining, served from their retro-chic Airstream –expect golden fish and chips, mushy peas and more.

Coco’s Mexican Restaurant – Add a little spice to your visit at Coco’s, serving up colourful dishes, bold flavours and a laid-back, family-friendly vibe.

Nautico’s – Right on the waterfront, Nautico’s offers hearty meals and great views. Pop in for lunch, a sundowner cocktail or a relaxed dinner.

Martha’s Vineyard – A long-standing favourite, this harbourfront pub and restaurant combines a welcoming atmosphere with locally sourced dishes – perfect for watching the boats go by. We’d highly recommend a pint of the Jubel beer, or why not try the Stack Rock house ale?

Scoop – Head over to the Scoop ice cream parlour for a sweet treat! Serving their very own homemade ice cream, which is produced just across the road in their Ice Creamery with locally sourced milk and cream, there’s a vast array of flavours to choose from. There’s also freshly made coffees and cold drinks available.
