Forage Pembrokeshire delivers weekly foraging walks and wild food experience events, all over Pembrokeshire and occasionally across the border in Carmarthenshire
Forage Pembrokeshire was founded by professional forager Dan Moar, who has been foraging and honing his skills since the year 2000, and teaching elements of foraging along with other nature based sessions such as Bushcraft & Rockpooling since 2012.
Forage Pembrokeshire offers the widest variety of foraging experiences in the county, all of which are delivered in beautiful locations and can be tailored to your specific requirements or interests. Forage Pembrokeshire is fortunate enough to have access to some fantastic foraging habitats such as hedgerows, rocky coastline, tidal salt marshes, ancient woodland & meadows or during some experiences a combination of all.
Most foraging experiences and events are open for everyone to join, however private experiences and gift vouchers are also available upon request.
Forage Pembrokeshire also works in collaboration with local artisans who deliver exceptional products, from fresh wild game, to incredible drinks using wild ingredients. One such collaboration Dan is exceptionally proud of is the "Foraging & Fine Dining" experience with his friend and fellow forager/chef Matt Powell at his amazing Green Michelin star restaurant Annwn, based in Narberth.
Although it is mainly Dan providing the experiences, occasionally other highly trained instructors will be called upon to run or assist during experiences.
Our experiences take place in various locations across the county, depending on the habitat, experience and time of year you have requested. Popular locations our experiences run include Haverfordwest, Broadhaven, Angle, Freshwater West, Narberth, Lawrenny, Tenby, Saundersfoot, Pendine & Laugharne
Forage Pembrokeshire welcomes groups of all ages and abilities. Please contact Dan via email if you have any queries or concerns regarding the suitability of an experience. Private experiences are available at no extra cost, if it is to facilitate specific needs such as wheelchair accessible foraging locations etc.
