Walter Davies, my grandfather, founded the company in 1931; the company traded as Walter Davies & Sons up until 2010, when the opportunity arose for myself and Sean Ryan to buy the business from Direct Seafoods. Sean owns the two largest Welsh-owned trawlers - the Murcurious and the Stephanie - so guaranteeing supplies of local fish.

We are both committed to keeping the Welsh fishing industry alive here in Wales. With this in mind, we thought a change in name to Welsh Seafoods would reflect our commitment.

We buy fish from over 40 local fishing boats, which means we can supply caterers and retailers with locally and imported fish and shellfish, prepared to their requirements and delivered on one of our refrigerated vans.
