Blue shark is our dedicated fishing vessel, and the only fishing vessel within the area. We offer a range of fishing trips which are suitable for all abilities and experience levels.
Operating from St Justinians lifeboat station, we are situated on the west coast, which allows easy access to numerous fishing points both inshore and further out to sea.
We run our longer, full day trips over the weekend, and shorter trips throughout the week. Our vessel, which is fully equipped for our fishing trips, is manned by our experienced Skipper and Crew members who have a vast knowledge about the waters in which we fish.
Depending on the trip you book, our Blue Shark vessel will take from ten to twelve passengers on board, and allows a spacious platform perfect for fishing.
We are passionate about fishing and the waters in which we operate, so do our best to ensure fish stocks remain healthy, and operate sustainable fishing practices.
Our crew are there to help, so if there is something you’re not sure about, or if you need a hand using your rod, or bringing in your catch, then please ask, we want you to go away with incredible memories, and of course your dinner.
1.5 Hour Mackerel Fishing:
If You’re looking for a fun, unique way of spending time out on the water, then our Mackerel trip is just what you need.
Head out to Ramsey Sound, where we follow the tide in search of your dinner. Surrounded by the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast, you may even come across some of the local wildlife.
Our Mackerel fishing trips are perfect for first time fishers, families, groups and for even the more experienced, and offer fantastic opportunities for catching Mackerel.
We provide everything you need, so all you need to do is enjoy your time out on the water and wait for that first bite.
3 Hour Deep Sea:
Our 3 Hour Deep Sea fishing trip is designed for passengers who are after more of a challenge.
Ideally, we head 1.5 miles west of Ramsey Island nature reserve, out towards The Bishops and Clerks, a group of rocks which are subject to strong tidal currents, and have been the site of many shipwrecks over the years.
This trip gives passengers a strong chance of catching multiple species of fish, including Pollock, Wrasse, Codling, and occasionally Bass.
We always suggest wearing appropriate clothing for the 3 Hour trip. A warm top layer, a waterproof jacket, and some sturdy supportive footwear are recommended. The last thing you want is to lose your fish because you’ve not got supportive footwear on.
We also offer a range of longer fishing trips which head further offshore, to reefs, sandbanks and to some old wrecks. For further information regarding these, please contact the office directly, or head over to our designated fishing website – www.bluesharkuk.com
All trips are subject to conditions, and the decision on if the sea state is suitable for us to sail, is always down to ur skippers, and is at their discretion.
Any decision being made on if we can, or cannot sail, is with customers safety in mind.
We do our very best to ensure that customers with any accessibility issues can still go out on our trips, and have staff members on hand to make sure passengers feel more comfortable when boarding the boat.
However, where we operate, which is the local lifeboat station, does require customers to go both up and down approximately 60 steps.
We always advise customers with any accessibility concerns, go and have a look at the departure point before booking, to ensure they are happy and comfortable on where and how we board.
*Please also check our website, which will show you where we board for our trips*
